Our Story

Robertson Properties Group is a subsidiary of The Decurion Corporation, a privately held company headquartered in Los Angeles, California. During its long history, Decurion has participated in multiple businesses, including movie exhibition, real estate, assisted living, hospitality, and swap meets.

In 1946, William R. Forman opened the first Pacific Drive-In Theatre, founding the business that became The Decurion Corporation. Over the next seven decades, Pacific evolved from drive-in theaters to walk-ins, multiplexes, megaplexes, and ArcLight Cinemas.

In the early 1990s, the company began the redevelopment of its drive-in properties, first as Pacific Theatres Realty Corp. and then as Robertson Properties Group (RPG). Today, RPG owns and operates more than five million square feet of commercial real estate assets in high-growth, high-barrier-to-entry submarkets in California and Hawaii. It directly oversees the design, development, construction, and day-to-day operation of approximately fifty assets.

RPG’s portfolio includes grocery-anchored, big box, neighborhood, and entertainment retail centers as well as self-storage, industrial, residential, and office properties. While the company holds most of its properties for the long term, it also engages in strategic asset sales and acquisitions.
